I. AWS EC2 F1 FPGA Architecture Overview and Development Details
Amazon Web Service [AWS] is offering server architecture based on Xilinx Vertex Ultrascle+ FPGA which is termed as F1 Instance on AWS Cloud. This architecture is available for clients for accelerating their Machine Learning, video transcoding, Broadcasting and may applications. AWS have Marketplace [as app store] for F1 instance acceleration. We have included some insights of AWS EC2 F1 in this Overview session.
II. Story: Just look at the back of AWS, AWS EC2 F1 is an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array-A Chip Technology) based system.
Amazon EC2 F1 is a compute instance with field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) that you can program to create custom hardware accelerations for your application. F1 instances are easy to program and come with everything you need to develop, simulate, debug, and compile your hardware acceleration code, including an FPGA Developer AMI and Hardware Developer Kit (HDK).
